Advertising Agency Account Manager

Fusion is a progressive full-service and social/digital marketing firm with over 27 years in the industry. We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to add to our Client Services team. 

As your clients’ main point of contact, you’re a people person with a natural ability to create great relationships. You’ll lead Fusion’s project teams, relaying important information with insight and thoughtfulness, and capably managing both the big picture and the details. At the same time, you’ll provide flawless service to your clients, helping to define their goals, furthering their interests, and making sure that their experience is exceptional from initial conversation to final product, every time. The abilities to think strategically, assess both challenges and solutions critically, and manage multiple accounts and projects at once are a must. 

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years experience in account management or marketing management, preferably in an advertising agency or corporate marketing environment. 
  • BComm or BBA with a major in Marketing, or a Diploma in Creative Communications. Equivalent experience will also be considered. 
  • Knowledge of relevant industry processes and responsibilities, including marketing and communications strategy and tactics, social media, digital media, traditional media, as well as coordination of production of assets for media executions. 
    • Ability to plan, execute, analyze and optimize social media campaigns is a huge asset
    • Knowledge of or a passion to learn paid social and digital media is also an asset.
  • Ability to lead and manage with a positive attitude, efficiently manage multiple accounts and projects, while maintaining an exceptional level of client service.
  • Ability to engage in facilitated discovery sessions with clients, ask great questions, take great notes, absorb, understand, communicate information and to think strategically.
  • Solid understanding of brand management, brand development and brand strategy.
  • Must be proactive, self-managing, and able to manage your workload and team relationships whether working from home or in the office. 
  • Desire to thrive in and contribute to a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and rewarding team position.

What you’ll do as part of a team:

  • Be proactive in advising clients on new opportunities, new strategies and market changes.
  • Ensure adherence to existing client strategies, brand guidelines, and project objectives.
  • Become familiar with and stay informed about your clients’ businesses and industries and the environment in which they operate.
  • Manage and assist in development of client marketing plans.
  • Manage client and project budgets, with regular updating and maintenance of marketing budgets.
  • Write creative briefs that provide our creative team with relevant, accurate, and insightful information.
  • Collaborate with Creative Director, Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Social Media Strategists and Digital Marketers to develop and critique strategic creative solutions. 
  • Work with online and traditional Media Planners to develop and present media plans. 
  • Work with Project Managers or on your own to create estimates, timelines, production RFQs, purchase orders, and invoices. 
  • Manage supplier relationships and deadlines, while coordinating all aspects of production along the lifespan of a project.
  • Review and proofread files to ensure error-free, accurate deliverables.
  • Receive, interpret, and pass along client feedback accurately and effectively.
  • Coordinate and manage photoshoots and video shoots. 
  • Submit weekly revenue projections.
  • Develop new business within existing accounts.
  • Develop plans and work to acquire new business.
